When is Mr. Gatsby opening his mansion to guests?
plus icon

After enjoying the holiday season with his nearest and dearest, Mr. Gatsby will be opening the doors to his mansion on March 9th 2023. He very much hopes to see you there!

What does "immersive" mean and what can I expect at Mr. Gatsby’s party?
plus icon

"Immersive" means that the environment is designed to deliver an all-encompassing experience; from the moment you enter Gatsby’s Mansion, it will feel like you have been transported back to the roaring 1920s. You may have the opportunity to follow the other guests into smaller rooms and spaces with Mr. Gatsby himself, if you are so lucky! You need only interact as much as you are comfortable - if you prefer to observe from the sidelines, nobody will mind. In fact, Mr. Gatsby often enjoys doing exactly that himself!

What should I wear?
plus icon

Our 1920s dress code is encouraged, but not compulsory. That said, the better you look, the more you’ll get out of your evening, and Mr. Gatsby will definitely be more likely to take you into his inner circle!

Any age restrictions?
plus icon

All guests of Mr. Gatsby must be 14+ for entry. Audience members under 18 must be accompanied by an adult over 18. ID required or you may be refused entry. Rights of admission are always reserved and the decision of Mr. Gatsby’s door staff is final.

Are there any special effects that I should be aware of?
plus icon

Other than the most sparkling night you’ve ever experienced? Strobe lighting will be in use during the performance, so if this is a concern for you, please e-mail us at info@themansionnewyork.com and we will work with the venue team to assist in making your visit safe and comfortable.

Can I buy drinks during the performance?
plus icon

Our doors (and bars!) open 60 minutes before the show; please do join Mr. Gatsby for a glass of something sparkling, a cocktail (or a mocktail if you’d prefer!) prior to the show - but look, go steady. Sure, we've got the best liquor this side of the Hudson, but party too hard too soon and I’m afraid you’re going to have to leave, and no one wants to be walked out of a theater show before 8pm.
